A² Investment Partners was established by André van der Veen and Adrian Zetler in 2021. André and Adrian identified an opportunity to establish an active investment company that is not constrained by liquidity, sector or investment size limits. A² deploys capital to take advantage of deep discount opportunities or special situations.

ANDRÉ VAN DER VEEN

Director

André van der Veen is a CA(SA), CGMA and CFA® charter holder. He has served as director of numerous companies including HCI, Tsogo Sun, Clover and Montauk Energy. André previously was CEO of Johnnic Holdings, Niveus Investments and E-Media Holdings. He is currently the executive chairman of Novus Holdings Limited, chairman of Alphawave, a technology holding company, and a managing partner of A2 Investment Partners.

ADRIAN ZETLER

Director

Adrian is a qualified CA(SA), CAIA ® and CFA® Charterholder. After completing his articles, Adrian stayed on at PWC for a two years as a valuation specialist in their UK corporate finance team. Adrian is currently a partner at A2 Investment Partners Proprietary Limited. Prior to this, he served as an analyst and portfolio manager at Coronation Fund Managers for 12 years, where he co-managed Coronation’s Houseview strategies and the Coronation Industrial Fund.

KAGISHO MOLATEDI

Associate

Kagisho began his career in investment banking at Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking and was involved in the origination, structuring and implementation of debt finance solutions in the local and cross border markets. Kagisho joined A2 Investment Partners as an Analyst and holds a BBusSci Finance degree from the University of Cape Town.

Novus Holdings Limited is one of the largest publishing, printing and manufacturing operations in Southern Africa. Novus Holdings services the country, and customers across sub-Saharan Africa through its publishing, print and packaging production of an extensive and diverse range of print and flexible packaging products and solutions.
York is an integrated forestry company with 58 763 hectares of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified plantations, operating in South Africa, countries within the South African Development Community (“SADC”) region and non-SADC regions.
Nampak limited is one of the leading diversified packaging companies in Africa, being the largest manufacturer of beverage cans in South Africa, Angola and Nigeria. Nampak Limited has been listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange since 1969 and has substantial operations in other packaging solutions including plastics, paper and metals.
